CCKW Composite bed/M-35 Steel bed Comparison
Many CCKW's have had their original Steel, Composite, or Wooden cargo bed removed and replaced at some time in the past. The most common replacement cargo bed is the M-35 series cargo bed. It fits the frame and is similar in all dimensions (the most notable difference is that the M-35 bed is 8 inches wider).

Notice the hinges on the side. These hinges allow the side wall to hang down, exposing the entire cargo bed. The rear cargo bed brace (directly under the tailgate) is solid. There is no tool box, nor any provision for marker lights. The troop seat supports are also thicker on the M-35 bed. |
