WWII Trailers
| This page is about a WWII trailer I am restoring. As of yet I have no idea if its a Willy's MBT or a Bantam T-3... they were similiar in many respects. Only a very trained eye can tell them apart. With most trailers being 60+ years old and refurbished many times, original trailers are rare, and expensive additions for WWII jeeps. |
| This image is from TM10-1230 Dated July 1942. It shows the drawbar and lunette. I show this picture to illustrate some of the more hard to find parts for trailers. The lunette is the shatf with the big circle at the end. The drawbar is the fixture to the right of the lunette that attaches to the frame. Most trailers will have a late lunette (thicker shaft) or worse, the entire drawbar will have been cut off for a trailer hitch... ack! | ![]() |
